The UCF ORBIT Steering Group & Community
of Practice is an intense, academic and commercial
partnership for Best Practice or Learning Community
process. We operate within a multiparty nondisclosure
agreement. ORBIT’s UCF Partner for the UCF Community
of Practice is Management Systems Performance Laboratory
(MSPL).
There is a concurrent CIO Circle of
Learning being conducted in Germany that includes
Siemens, Lufthansa and Daimler Chrysler to name a
few.
The UCF ORBIT/MSPL CIO Community of
Practice Members are focused on IT Business Value
outcomes and operations. Based upon companies participating,
it is an international endeavor in the Florida High
Tech Corridor (http://www.floridahightech.com).
Leadership development for the Members’ professionals
has been an unintended but valued byproduct of the
Community of Practice participation. We are seeking
“quick wins” strategy in our CIO Community
of Practice topic selection for Building IT Business
Value-2006 to expand the market driven depth and breadth
of the topic content. Components include the option
for UCF and MSPL to publish the findings or related
Member studies of interest.
